Avanti R2 Introduction
The supercharged Avanti R2 were manufactured in the year of 1963 and 1964. Studebraker's both the cars avanti R1 and R2 came with 289 c.i. machine. The R2 is "breathed on" the other heads and camshaft. The R2 models of avanti has lower compression ratio.
Avantis came standard with a three-speed manual transmission; a four-speed and a Borg-Warner automated were optional. They were free with line conditioning, though the Paxton/McCulloch supercharger whole could but be rated on cars without A/C.
Non-supercharged cars are referred to as R-1 models, the supercharged cars are known as R-2 models. Decent R-2 Avantis sell in the $15,000 to $20,000 range.
